Since the weather finally gave us a break today, we decided to crash in on Poppa's weekend hiking ritual this morning... although in my 30 years I have never seen the mountain as wet as it was today!!!! Teagan hitched a ride up the mountain on Daddy's back, but demanded she be set free at the summit. We stopped at the pond where Poppa collected rocks for Teagan to throw into the pond, then Daddy and Poppa took turns trying to catch frogs for Teagan (Poppa finally prevailed). Teagan insisted Poppa put the frog back in the water after he caught it, then wanted him to catch another, ha, what a kid!
On the way down the mountain, as daddy put it, Teagan showed her "mommy side" and insisted that she walk "all by self" and resisted any offer of help when she would slip or be struggling on the rocks.... I really have no idea what he was talking about ;-) ? Shortly there after Teagan decided Poppa's shoulders where much more fun and made the rest of the way down the mountain on them.....
Once we returned home we spent a couple hours playing by the pool... what an awesome day!
